Growing flowers in sub-tropical Central Queensland

Our story

Glen Elgin Flower Farm blossomed from a hobby into a business when I was inspired by Floret Flowers and realised there was a niche for cut flowers in the Central Highlands region. Living on a remote cattle station, there is plenty of room to grow things and so I decided to transform my house paddock into a vast garden.

In addition to that, there is nothing that is more satisfying than sharing the flowers with the wider bush community and meeting like-minded people along the way. Join me on my green thumb journey as I explore what will grow in our challenging climate.

We are expanding to over 700 Dahlia plants this season, and have plans to develop beds for roses, chrysanthemums, ranunculus and other subtropical bulbs.
